My very first photomanipulation. Please click to view the larger version; thumbnail does it no justice! Project TYPE inspired by missy-g ( [link] ). Work itself inspired by some frustration over the young generation and it's tendancy with depression and self harm... and the "song" I was lead to listen to after I felt this frustration. I have the girl faded because she feels alone in the world. She cries for the decaying moon, destroyed by the endless memory of sorrow. I added in stars, and kept the dragonflies to...sort of represent what hope is left for the world, I suppose.
Song: Do They Ever Sing? by Autumn Tears It's not really a song, but a mother-like (maybe the Goddess?) woman and a child speaking. There is music/sound effects in the background during their conversation though. It's very good and I recommend taking a listen if you get the chance! Lyrics: Child: Do the children ever sing? Woman: Alas, they do not sing but songs of woe and remembrance. Child: Do the children ever dance? Woman: Alas, they can dance no more. Child: Do the children ever laugh? Woman: Alas, their laughter can be heard no longer. Child: Do the children ever play? Woman: Alas, their days of playing have long since ended. Child: Do the children ever sleep? Woman: Alas, the children cannot sleep. They can only dream. Child: Do the children ever cry? Woman: Alas, I do regret...they forever cry tears of sadness. Child: Do the children ever love? Woman: Alas, they can love no more. Child: Do you love the children? Woman: I love all my children! Yet I fear they cannot love me... Child: Do you love me? Woman: I shall love thee forever my dearest one. Sleep now, as we enter this endless memory together. And see thy death awakened...all in a moment. I like the sea in the back, big moon, just the whole piece should be larger.

I'm afraid of doing artwork on a larger scale, in RL and in PS. Haha. It's something I need to conquer. ^-^
